Glen Rogers 

For the Guanajuato Art Vacation, Glen Rogers teams with Hugo Anaya for a 5 day printmaking workshop in the charming colonial city of Guanajuato, Mexico. Explore the combination of drypoint and monoprint; Hugo Anaya’s copper plate technique with watercolor tint and Glen Rogers’ drypoint on acrylic with oil-based transparencies. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We will be working in Piramidal Gráfica, a private well-equipped printmaking studio located within a two-century-old stone wall with patios and adjacent gardens close to the center of Guanajuato.

Hugo Anaya was born and raised in Guanajuato, GTO, Mexico. He was educated in Mexico and the United States. He studied art at the Portland Art Museum School and Portland State University. He apprenticed at Mahaffey Fine Art studio in Portland. His work has been exhibited in Oregon art galleries and in 2002 he was given a solo show at the Gene Byron Museum in Guanajuato. Hugo’s work is in public and private collections including The Gilkey Print Center in the Portland Art Museum.
